Readiness check: confirm top priorities are clear; decision ownership is defined; execution rhythm exists; leadership roles are stable; internal alignment is visible. If not, advisory will distract before it helps.
Are You Actually Ready for External Advisory Support?
Advice only helps when the organisation is ready to absorb it.
Use this check before bringing in advisors.
Readiness Check (Answer honestly):
Are our top priorities clear and stable?
Is decision ownership defined and respected?
Do leadership roles have clear mandates?
Is there a consistent execution rhythm?
Do we know exactly what problem we want help with?
If you answered “no” to more than two, pause.
Why This Matters
Advice amplifies what already exists.
Clarity → acceleration
Confusion → noise
What to Do If You’re Not Ready
Don’t add advice yet.
Fix alignment, ownership, and execution first.
Then advisory becomes leverage — not distraction.
